Aesthetics
We can think of the complicated as the organized, known, sequenced lego-building activities: computer programming, road planning, protocol, and efficiency-based endeavors.
The complex will then be the open-ended, creative, loosely casual soup-making: writing an inspiring idea, instigating a standing ovation, or designing creativity.
Complex always surrounds the complicated because we live in an organic, complex world. Companies embody computer programs in human cognition; people ride roads, bounded efficiency needs creativity.
I propose that aesthetics is the space between the complicated and the complex.
