Thoughtfulness
In 2022, I will be sending a weekly note through this channel to develop new and old ideas on efficiency, habits, and creative effectiveness.
The one thing that is very bright in recent conversations is the idea of synchronous and asynchronous communication.
Remote teams spend a great deal of money and energy fitting human communication and ideas into an elaborate graphic spreadsheet.
There is value in creating a communication culture and allowing managers to plan for milestones.
I want to deposit that if a team actively pushes against asynchronous communication, it limits its potential to benefit from employee thoughtfulness simply because thoughtfulness does not fit in a spreadsheet.
